Spartans launch their own internet channel

Blyth Spartans have announced a new media venture, including it’s very own new YouTube channel.

BSAFCTV will give the Green Army more insight into life at Croft Park when it start’s broadcasting from the start of pre-season, further enhancing its media coverage next season.

Former Programme Editor Glen Maxwell will take control of the new channel.

He said “We have a fantastic media department here at Blyth.

“However, I suppose the only thing that has let us down has been the lack of video really.

“We’ve identified that now and, with the launch of BSAFCTV, we’ll be able to cover all aspects of the club and give supporters even more content to enjoy.

“When this idea was first discussed, I knew it was something I wanted to be involved with.

“I enjoy working for Blyth and I have a bit of a background in visual media, so it just seemed like the next logical step for me to take.”

Media Manager Phil Castiaux added: “This is another exciting step forward for the club.

“We are covering many bases now, when it comes to taking advantage of emerging media opportunities.

“That’s all down to the dedication, creativity and thoroughness of the volunteers who form the media team here at Blyth Spartans.”
