Station go goal crazy

STATION FC are going great guns in MB Socca Leagues and they consolidated second spot with a fine performance last Thursday night at the Hirst Welfare Centre.

They ran amok against Real Kettle Chips to win 9-0 and stay only one point behind top spot as they remain unbeaten.

Ashalona maintained their 100 per cent start as they put seven against a bemused Ashington All Stars with a 7-1 victory.

Reigning champions Real Ashington were in contest against new team MEP Rangers, who showed some good early promise that bodes well, but Real eventually ran out 4-1 winners.

The final game saw an even contest which was decided by better finishing as basement team Barca Newsham moved off the bottom with a morale boosting 3-1 win over ACE United.

The organisers are looking for new teams to create a second division in the coming months to join the six-a-side leagues played on the 3G surface.
