ASHINGTON born striker Glen Taylor has returned to his hometown club on a month’s loan.
Taylor, 22, who joined Spennymoor in the close season, made his debut for the Colliers on Saturday in the 6-1 defeat by Darlington 1883 at Heritage Park.
He said: “I was in the Moors squad and maybe getting run outs of 20 minutes or so – but I wanted to play full games.
“I had other options on the table but I chose Ashington and it’s good to be back.
“Apart from my best mate Andrew Johnson being at the club, it’s also a great set up.”
Colliers boss Gary Middleton said: “I’ve been trying to get Glen for the last two or three months and I’m thrilled to get him back.”
Meanwhile striker Alex Benjamin has left the club.
