Bedlington Terriers, who open the new season with a home fixture against Billingham Town on August 10, have so far assembled a squad of 17 players.
And manager Keith Perry is optimistic about the attitude of the newly formed squad.
He said: “We are unbeaten in our first three friendlies and the training has gone well much to the credit of coaches Tony Burgess and John Egan, two former Bedlington players who are putting in a great deal of work.
“A number of last season’s squad have stayed loyal to the club and the new faces have gelled in well while Dylan Williams, Kyle Dobson and James Loughborough, former youth team players, have been added to the squad and no doubt will make there mark.
“In addition, former Newcastle and West Ham player Shaun McRoberts signed along with Ross Dixon and John Mellish and there maybe more signings in the pipeline.”
Perry added: “We have had to rebuild the squad for the new campaign and I for one know it will be no walk in the park this time around. In the past we have had great success at Bedlington but the spirit in the current squad is great and these lads will give it the best shot.”
Chairman Ronan Liddane was also delighted in that star striker Bannister has signed on again after numerous approaches from other clubs.
