The Biggin stop the Elephant

THE Thusday night MB Socca Leagues six-a-side competitions at the Hirst Centre in Ashington saw division one top side Base FC retaining their one point as they eased past Newbiggin Blaze 4-1.

Second placed The Biggin took on the mighty North Seaton Elephant and managed just to keep their cool, and despite their manager receiving a sin-bin they came out 4-2 winners.

Newsham lost 3-0 to Real Ashington while Multiple Scoregasms finally get a reward for their good play with a win over Sparta Hatbreath 1-0.

Dave’s Multiple side are looking the part in their new yellow and black stiped shirts.

Division two saw leaders Station Boys and Ashington All-Stars treat fans to an end to end epic and the game finally ended in a 4-3 win to Station Boys.

Second placed Station FC won 3-0 against A-Town Rangers while Brazilliant beat The Doggers 3-1.

The final game of the night was a one-sided-affair as new team The Whipping Boys, once Cramlington Ford, hammered Newbiggin Bad-Boys 8-0.

The league goes into week nine tonight (Thursday).
