Three defeats in a week for New Hartley Juniors

A poor week for New Hartley Juniors ended with a 2-1 home defeat against league champions Lampton Street.

Having lost 4-1 at Stockton and 2-1 at home against Benfield earlier in the week, Hartley found themselves two down at the break to Lamptpon on Saturday with goals from Christopher Bell and Aaron Wood.

Hartley pressed and did pull one back when Marcus McCreedy scored from the spot with five minutes remaining.

But no further goals meant that Lampton took all three points back to Wearside.

Hartley are in league action on Wednesday night with a trip to Hebburn Town and travel again on Saturday with another league game at Willington.
