Top two retain their 12-point lead at the top of the table

THE two top teams in MB Socca Leagues division one are now an incredible 12 points ahead of the third place side after only eight games.

At The Hirst Welfare Centre last Thursday, joint leaders Real Ashington contested a great encounter with third place Bubbles FC with both teams playing some good one touch football.

But Real’s killer instinct in front of goal paid off as they ran out 3-1 winners.

Second on goal difference are V & N Jewllers as they beat basement side Station FC 4-2.

The battle of the the Boys ended 1-1 between Whipping Boys and Station Boys.

Division two was again disrupted with teams having catch up games in 11-a-side leagues and ACE United, Ashington All Stars and Bayern Neverlusen were all credited with 3-0 wins as they contested friendly games.

Bayern stay top with a five-point advantage over Ashington All Stars.
