V & N Jewellers produce a gold performance against Sparta

DIVISION one of the MB Socca six-a-side men’s league at Ashington’s Hirst Welfare 3G pitches saw leaders Real Ashington maintain their dominant form of late as they beat Multiple Scoregasms 6-0.

Real are now seven points clear at the top as second placed Station Boys played out a 2-2 draw with last season’s runners-up North Seaton Elephant.

Station looked like winning but North Seaton’s ‘Sage’ destroyed the celebrations by beating four men before slotting home superbly to level in the dying moments.

Also in division one, Base FC beat The Whipping Boys 2-1.

Division two began with Brazilliant taking on Ashington All-Stars.

No wins so far this season for Lofty’s Ashington but this week they turned on the gas and in the end won 2-0.

Station FC went top as they saw-off The Doggers 4-0 and Gav’s army look ready for a promotion and title bid.

New side V & N Jewellers are the in-form side, but this wek they came up against top side Sparta Hatbreath.

The game was full of action but it was V & N who turned on the skill to win 3-0 to take second spot with a game in hand on Station FC.
