V&N lose as Real move back on top

THE Hirst Centre in Ashington hosted another night of six-a-side action on Thursday which saw a top of the table clash in the MB Socca Leagues division one.

V&N Jewellers were top by three points going into the game with Real Ashington.

But it did not take long for the reigning champions in red to put their stamp on the game.

They eventually ran out 4-1 winners as V&N lost their first game of the new season.

Bubbles FC are third as they pulled off an excellent 5-0 win over The Whipping Boys.

The final game in the top flight ended in a 3-0 win for Station Boys over promoted Station FC.

In division two, Bayern Neverlusen remain five points clear after a 3-0 win over ACE United.

Second placed Ashington All-Stars won 3-0, as did Wansbeck Blues over Bankhouse.
