ONE again, the weather put paid to most of the fixtures in the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League.
Ashington Bubbles did manage to get their NFA Minor Cup match played at home against Cramlington Benedictine only to go down by 4-1.
Chris Page scored the consolation goal for Bubbles.
Division one saw Ashington Grand beat Bedlington Community by the odd goal in seven.
Grand were cruising 4-0, when they had a playersent off. They then went down to nine men when a player was injured.
This allowed Community to come back and Grand were glad to hear the final whistle.
Goals for Grand came from Daniel Donnelly (2), Paul Hedley and Graham Todd. On target for Community was Jason Wilson (2) and Martin Kelly.
Blyth Comrades and Last Orders shared the points in an eight-goal thriller.
The score could have been much greater with further goals chalked off for both sides.
Goals for Comrades came from Terry Self (2) and Steven Molloy (2). Replying for Last Orders was Jordon Bellamy, Martyn Hepple, Ross Gilchrist and James Sinton.
Burradon and New Fordley proved much too strong for High Street and beat their visitors 10-0.
Leading the scoring was Ian Lee (4), Micheal Chilton (3), Ryan Hutchinson, Steve Howes and an own goal.
Only two games were played in the second division and both home sides went down by the same score, 3-1.
Bay Horse lost to Newsham Willow Tree. Chris Taylor scored for Bay Horse, but goals from David Millin (2) and David Lillico won it for Willow Tree.
Blyth Top House went down to Red Lion Earsdon, with their consolation coming from Andrew Davison. Scoring for Red Lion was Michael Hartley, Scott Purcell and Keith Kennedy.
