Wet weather hits Blyth and Wnsbeck League fixture list

The semi-final of the Standard Security Blyth and Wansbeck Sunday League SA Randolph Cup was called off due to the flooded pitch and will now be played on Sunday, February 26.

In the premier division, Broomhill North End Trap continued the winning run with a 5-0 home win against Earsdon Red Lion with the goals coming from Darren Smith, John Robinson, Luke Baston, Mark Nixon and Max Anderson.

Cramlington Green went down 10-3 against a strong Ashington RAOB. James Thompson, Chris Horn and Michael Jordan scored for Green, but strikes from Ben Harmison (3), Shaun Gibson (2), Kieran Robson (2), Kyle Oliver, Gary Bailes and Josh Robson won it for Ashington.

Only two games were played in division one. Bebside Inn won by the odd goal in five against Morpeth Conservative Club/ Bebside won it with an own goal in the last minute after Martin Kelly and Ryan McKee had struck. Robbie Brown and Kyle Smith scored for Morpeth.

Marden Residents beat High Street 5-4 with goals from Marc Hunter (3), Phil McFarlane and an own goal. For High Street, Chris Laidlaw (2), Adam Emmerson and Duane Dunn were on target.
