WHILE Bayern Munich were securing their place in the Champions League final last week, Bayern Neverlusen were maintaining top spot in the MB Socca six-a-side league’s division two at the Hirst Centre in Ashington.

Every Thursday the league kicks-off at 7.15pm and last week division two saw leaders Bayern Neverlusen beat Bankhouse 3-0 to remain three points clear.

Second placed Ashington All-Stars took on new side Wansbeck Blues and kept up the pressure as they won 4-2.

The final game in division two saw ACE United win 3-0.

Division one is hotting up and last season’s runners-up V & N Jewellers are now three points clear of the current champions Real Ashington as they beat Bubbles FC 5-2.

Real Ashington kept the pressure on as they pulled of a grand performance by hammering Station Boys 10-1.

In the final game promoted teams Station FC and The Whipping Boys battled out a 2-2 draw.

An excellent performance as the sides come to terms with being in the top division.
