Whipping shade battle of Boys

WITH both the first and second division MB Socca Leagues titles wrapped up with a few weeks to go, there’s still no shortage of entertainment at The Hirst Welfare Centre.

Last Thursday saw a goal feast and top of the bill was The Whipping Boys and Station Boys, with the former running out 5-3 winners

This has not prevented them already being relegated but leaves hope for a quick return.

Base FC and Multiple Scoregasms also had a tight game with Base taking three valuable points in a 3-2 win to go two points clear in second spot with one game to go.

Champions Real Ashington had a night off as they took part in a friendly game.

V&N Jewellers with a depleted team still beat Sparta Hatbreath 4-2.

Hot on the heels of Sparta are Station FC, who won 3-0 against Brazilliant and now close the gap for the runners-up spot to two points with three games to go.

There was no seperating Ashington All Stars and Red Devils who drew 2-2.
