Gridiron team recruiting its season roster

THE Northumberland Lightning American Football team is recruiting to form its initial roster, as well as a committee to take the club forward.

The hope is to bring create a Northumberland Lightning franchise, including youth team, flag team, woman’s team and academy setup.

If you over the age of 19 you will be able to play either flag or full contact football.

Aged 16 to 19 and you will be able to play full contact youth football. Under-16s can join the academy system and play flag football.

The team also want to set up women’s flag and contact teams.

Also required is anyone would who would like the get involved with the running of the club, even if they don’t want to play.
