Champagne on ice for Real
REAL Ashington are all but crowned champions of MB Socca Leagues division one as they remain six points clear of V&N Jewellers with two games to go.
Last Thursday night at the Hirst Welfare Centre the leaders were awarded a 3-0 victory over Bubbles FC who had 11-a-side commitments.
V&N Jewellers have to win their last two games and hope Real lose both theirs. In addittion, they need to overturn a 42-goal difference.
Last week V&N were involved in an end to end tussle with bottom team Station FC and managed to secure all three points with a slender 4-3 win.
Division two saw recently crowned champions Bayern Neverlusen record a 3-0 victory to storm to a 16-point lead at the top. They have 15 wins from 18 games with only one defeat
Ashalona FC had too much for ACE United as they won 4-2.
The final game was a real tussle with Bankhouse edging out Ashington All Stars to move into third spot and still have a chance of finishing runners-up.
