Deportivo remain unbeaten in 2012

BLYTH Rangers Under-13s Deportivo maintained their unbeaten start to 2012 with a home victory over Throckley Magpies.

The opening Rangers goal came in the fifth minute when Liam Thomson made a great run down the left and crossed for Jack Bell to score with a rare headed goal.

Throckley were given a lifeline back into the game following an unfortunate own goal by Charlie Allison and then went into the lead before David Dunworth restored parity and the teams went into the break with the scores level at 2-2.

Blyth started the second half strongly and began to play some good football and it was no surprise when first Kristian Sands and then Jordan Hall scored the goals to seal the win.

Thomson was named man of the match for Rangers.
