Newsham rocked by Station FC
MB Socca Lagues hosted its weekly six-a-side Thursday night competition at the Hirst Centre in Ashington, where division one leaders Real Ashington remain three points clear.
They beat Station Boys 4-1 while second placed V & N Jewellers remained on their tail with a 3-0 win over Multiple Scoregasms.
The final game in division one saw Bankhouse get their first points of the season by beating ACE United 2-0.
Division two commenced with leaders The Whipping Boys earning a 3-0 win, as did Lofty’s Ashington All-Stars.
There was an action-packed game to end the night as Station FC took on Newsham.
Goals in every half saw Gav’s Station FC finally keep their cool and after 30 minutes of battling they won 3-2.
There is one space available in division two for new teams looking to enter the leagues.
