Real crowned champions

THE end of the season games in the MB Socca Leagues were played out at Hirst Welfare Centre where Real Ashington proved themselves top dogs yet again.

They are proving invincible, adding further trophies to their ever growing collection

They played a friendly against Barca Newsham and went goal crazy as they won 9-0.

Ashalona claimed the runners-up position but were unable to field a team due to injuries so Ashington All Stars played a friendly against a new team getting ready to join the league’s new season this week.

Division two champions are Sporting a Beergut, but although they won 4-1 on the night against ACE United, the game was marred for them as two of their players were sent off for unacceptable behaviour and the team will be disciplined this week by the organisers.

With the new leagues starting again this week, new teams are welcome to join the FA affiliated leagues played on the 3G surface

Trophies are to be won with awards also for player of the month
