Running conditions were obviously ideal for the third race in Blyth Running Club’s Winter Series as more than 40 runners recorded season best times.
The seven handicap races are held over the winter months around a 2.5-mile course on the Riverside Trading Estate.
More than 60 runners were started off at regular intervals and first back was Alison Lowes, followed by Richard Shillinglaw, Andrea Scott and Claire Calverley before a bit of a gap until the bulk of the runners came through.
All of the first four ran over a minute quicker than previously.
Fastest finisher on the night was Bradley Clough in a time of 13:34, Leanne Herron was once again fastest female in a time of 15:41.
Next race is on Wednesday, February 5.
