BLYTH Running Club are preparing to host the 10km ‘Spirit of the Staithes’ run this Sunday.

Sponsored by Transped, the race will start at Blyth Quayside at 10am. All finishers will receive a T-shirt.

Walkers and cyclists using the beach path should be aware that there will be more than 400 runners running along the path from about 10.10am but hopefully they will not be too inconvenienced.

Further details are available at Blyth Sports Centre or online at www.blythrunningclub.co.uk

Entries on the day will be taken at the Quay Public House until about ten minutes before the start, although the entries will be £10 and £12.

Blyth currently have an expanding and active Junior section and are looking to recruit new members. Anybody between the ages of nine and 17 interested in running should turn up at Blyth Sports Centre on Monday nights at 6.45pm with their parents or email enquiries@blythrunningclub.co.uk
