Eleven schools competed at Blyth Sports Centre in the Year 6 netball title for the School Games Level 2 qualifier.
There were 100 children from across the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Partnership played in the annual competition, which is hotly contested as the winners represent the partnership at the Level 3 School Games County finals in June.
The teams were divided into two sections where they all played each other, with games umpired by students from Bedlington High School.
The top two from each section then competed in the semi-finals.
Newsham Primary played Stead Lane Primary in one semi-final and Croftway Primary met Bede Academy in the other.
After two close matches the successful teams were Newsham and Bede, who played a fantastic final game.
It was so close that at the end of full-time the match was a draw, meaning that it went to a golden goal situation for the title.
And it was Bede Academy who scored four minutes in to extra time.
All players got to meet two Team Northumbria netball players, Chiara Semple and Rebecca Neil, who answered questions from the young players and gave out certificates.
The schools who competed in what was a great afternoon of netball were Meadowdale, Malvins Close, Horton Grange, St Bedes, Station, Morpeth Road, Croftway and New Delaval, Newsham, Bede and Stead Lane.
