A boxing show is being held by the Empire School of Boxing.

A similar event was held earlier this year and officials at the Blyth-based club are hoping to attract fans again.

The event is taking place at the Ashington Comrades Club, in Ashington, on Tuesday, November 12.

Head coach Les Walsh said: “The boxers have been working very well to make themselves available for the show.

“We have a good selection of boxers on show and all will come to win. We have matched the boxers fairly and all contests will be close and fairly contested which will prove to be an excellent nights boxing.

“We received rave reviews for our previous show held in May at the same venue and now that is the standard we are aiming for.

“We need the public to get behind us and support this show and in return you will see something very special.”

Tickets are available from the Empire School of Boxing, in Cowpen Road, Blyth; from any of the boxers or by calling (01670) 366523.
