Blyth stretch win run to six games

Rugby.

Prudhoe & Stocksfield 19-27 Blyth RFC

Blyth stretched their winning run to six games against a very good Prudhoe side who are much better than their league position suggests.

The visitors took an early lead through their No 8 but Fraser popped over for Blyth in the corner.

Prudhoe then went over for a second converted try to lead 14-5 at half-time.

In the second half Blyth started strongly and got their second try from a forward drive, touched down by Rose and converted by McCardle.

The visitors took the lead for the first time when Tim Beech scored between the posts, McCardle adding the extras.

The home side then levelled at 19-all with an unconverted try.

Blyth regained the lead when Charlton scored in the corner giving Blyth the four-try bonus point before a McCardle penalty sealed the win for Blyth, injuring himself in the process.
