The first of the Northern Region autumn six (LDS) long distance sculling events will take at Cambois Rowing Club on the Wansbeck near Ashington on Saturday.
The first 3,350m time trial race is at 10.30am with afternoon racing starting at 2.30pm.
The event will involve 100 entrants in both the morning and afternoon sessions with junior, seniors and master crews competing in single doubles and quad boats.
There is no cover charge for spectators who are welcome to visit the clubhouse where there will be a selection of food served throughout the day.
Over the of the next few weeks, the Northern Rowing Council, in conjunction with regional clubs, will hold events at Tees RC on October 8, Berwick RC, October 15, Tyne ARC (Newburn), October 22, Sunderland RC (South Hylton), October 29, and Durham ARC, November 5.
Cambois Rowing Club will have junior, senior and masters entering every event.
