THE annual under-13 netball tournament for schools in south east Northumberland took place at Bede Academy North.
Seven schools entered, which is the last chance for the girls in some areas to play together before moving to high school.
The competition was hotly contested but was played in a good spirit.
The winners were Chantry Middle School, who won all their games, closely followed by Cramlington Learning Village and Whytrig Middle School, who shared the runners-up spot.
The trophy was presented by Joan Campbell, Northumberland netball development officer, who also spoke to the girls about the benefits of joining a netball club.
Other schools who took part were Bede Academy, Northumberland Church of England Academy, Meadowdale Middle and Guide Post Middle.
