A NEW course to help volunteers train the next generation of golfers is being held in Northumberland.
The two-day course will give anyone taking part an ASQ PGA level one qualification, which will allow them to assist more qualified coaches in delivering golf coaching sessions for beginners.
The course takes place on June 18 and 19 at Linden Hall Golf Club, near Longhorsley, and costs £288.
A home study workbook is provided ahead of the course, which takes around five weeks to complete in preparation for the two-day practical course.
For applications and further information contact Claire Bibby at the PGA at email@example.com
The Northumberland County Golf Partnership has some funding available to help with costs in return for support with the partnership’s coaching programmes.
Further details are available from county development officer Lisa Ferrie at firstname.lastname@example.org
The closing date for applications to the PGA is Friday, May 13. Applications will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.
The PGA coaching course is one of a number of projects aimed at increasing participation in golf.
