A BLYTH junior school came out on top in an annual golf competition.

Croftway Primary School were the winners of the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programmes annual tri-golf festival.

The team beat off competition from New Delaval, Horton Grange, Bede Academy and Morpeth Road primary schools to take the title.

Each team had also already held intra-school tournaments to pick the best four boys and top four girls to compete in the competition.

The event was held at Blyth Golf Club on a specifically designed mini golf course for youngsters and consisted of six holes with their own fairway and green.

The event was run by volunteers.

Blyth Golf Club captain and professional David Grey was at the week-long event.
