THE Northumberland and Durham Cycling Association’s 50-Mile Time Trial – The Jesmond Cup – will take place on June 4.
It will be held from the Beaconhill Community Centre in Langdale Drive, Cramlington.
The race will be run on the M509 course, starting in Bassington, heading to and from Ellington twice before finishing at Plessey Checks.
It will be run under the rules of Cycling Time Trials, starting at 7am.

n Elsewhere, the Barnesbury Cycling Club is promoting a series of mountain bike events at Gallagher Park, Bedlington.
The ten-week series started on May 21 and will also take place on the following Mondays – May 28, June 4, June 11, June 18, June 25, July 2, July 9, July 16 and July 23.
All ten races are run under the rules of The British Cycling Federation.
There are youth races at 6.30pm then adult races starting at 7.30pm.
