More than 100 girls from the four high schools in the Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Programme took part in this year’s Level 2 qualifier for the Northumberland School Games, to be held in Hexham at the end of June.
Two separate competitions took place simultaneously, with all four schools playing each other in both tournaments.
The Year 10 competition was won outright by St Benet Biscop RC High School who won all their games.
In the Year 9 competition, three schools finished equal first with the same amount of points, so the winners were determined by the most rounders scored during all their matches.
The winners were The Blyth School Community College.
Good luck to both teams at the county finals and well done also to all players from Bede Academy and Bedlington High School, who also took part in both competitions.
