The Blyth Open darts competition was held during the Christmas break at Blyth Comrades Club.
There was a great turnout of 81 in the men’s competition and 23 in the ladies.
In the ladies it was Northumberland county player Ann Marie Potts who took the title with a final win over Toni Longstaff.
The men’s event saw a final between Adam Hunt and Tyne and Wear player Paul Williams, with Hunt coming out the winner 4-2.
In the semi-finals Hunt had edged out Callan Rydz 4-3 while Williams came out the winner against Kev Thorburn by the same score.
The next local competition is on January 31 when the Terrace Club in Seaton Delaval will host the UKIP National Darts Open with a first prize of £600.
