Blyth’s Empire School of Boxing’s Lewis ‘Kid’ Curry is a man on a mission.
Following up from his outstanding performance at his home show at Seaton Delaval WMC recently, which earned a great win and best boxer of the night trophy, the all action fighter had to box smart against taller and heavier opponent Philly Williams from home club Perth Green in Jarrow in his latest outing.
Williams is a strong boy who did well to see bell three as both boxers had the crowd roaring and the atmosphere.
In the end Curry took a deserved points victory.
“If you have not seen this young man then you should make an effort because you will not be disappointed,” said Curry’s coach Les Welsh.
“Lewis came to our club from another and we have added a few things to an already good boxer.
“He is very much starting out on his career and would one day like to go professional.
“If this young man continues to listen and learn then there is nothing to stop him.
“I believe Lewis is in the right place as we have the best coaching team for him to work with and a wealth of experience to get him to where ever he wants to go, the contacts we have built up over the years are going to work with all of our boxers at the Empire School of Boxing.
“We are working hard to get all the boxers contests over the next few weeks.”
