Leanne and Peggy win four out five events

A BLYTH girl was the star competitor at a charity equestrian event at Westmoor Farm in Longhorsley.

Thirteen-year-old Leanne David and her pony Peggy, pictured, came first in four out of five events to be overall winner in her class.

She won best combination, working hunter, show jumping and handy pony.

Along with success in other competitions she has competed in this year, Leanne has now qualified to enter the nationals in Harrogate in 2012.
