Bedlington golfer Mathew Webb is preparing to tee off in the final series of the Gecko Tour after being the highest placed Englishman.
Mathew is currently 15th in the Order of Merit on the Tour after securing third and fourth places in earlier competitions.
He will now play in the final series on the tour at the end of March, with all finalists guaranteed money.
Mathew is also 16th in the North of England PGA Order of Merit, while 2014/15 also saw him win the Regional Open Qualifier at Northumberland Golf Club and finish second in the Carus Green Cumbria Open in Kendal.
Over the last year, Mathew has improved his stroke average by almost two strokes per round and is also playing more practice rounds with European Tour and Challenge Tour players.
He is still looking for sponsors and is selling shares to help his bid to play on higher ranking tours.
A Golf Day is taking place at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club on Friday, April 24, for all third year shareholders where they can play a hole with Mathew.
His father Marcus, professional at Bedlingtonshire Golf Club, said: “Mathew is in a very fortunate position of events to play in this season across a number of Tours.
“Last season Mathew played in Events sometimes getting a late call the day before but is going to cherry pick the Events he plays in.”
