Two junior Ashington boxers travelled to Chesterfield Football Club training ground recently and got conflicting results.
First up was Joseph Mullin against Nathan O’Shea of Bracefield Amateur Boxing Club.
Mullin came away the victor with much the cleaner shots and was given the unanimous decision.
Next up was Josh Johnstone, who boxed an experienced boxer James Reynolds from Spire Boxing Club.
Johnstone found Reynolds very unorthodox and struggled to come to terms with his style and technique.
Unfortunately by the time he worked him out, the points deficit was too great and he lost on points.
