Powerlifters enjoy succes at British Classic Junior Championships

Four members of the Parkhead Junior powerlifting team are celebrating after success at the British Classic Junior Championships.

The quartet travelled to the Bournemouth area for the evnt which was held over three days and returned with two first places, a second and a third

James Duff took first place in his last ever Junior Championships, he joins the senior ranks in 2016, and also set British records in his age and bodyweight category.

Daniel Sherman took second place in his category and was unlucky not to take leading spot andset sub/junior records (under 18) on the way.

In his first time at a British Championships, Ben Willis blew the opposition away with a tremendous performance, setting British records and taking the winners trophy.

Joe Sherwood took third place in his weight and age category.

The boys will take a few days rest then start training for the next challenge, again on the south coast, the British Junior Equipped Championships.

All four have represented GBat a World Junior Championships and will do so again in 2016.
