The weather was perfect for 7’s rugby and supporters of all ages turned out in force to support the local teams from Seghill, Blyth, Morpeth, Ponteland, Consett, North Shields, Novocastrians and Percy Park.

Some excellent rugby was played throughout the day, with a lot of friendly banter, and with tries being run in by all the teams taking part.

The team of the day were Morpeth, who looked superb throughout. They took the cup final, and also won the player of the tournament award with James Philips.
