THE annual Blyth and Bedlington School Sport Partnership Year 7 Netball Festival took place at Bede Academy.

Four teams from across the partnership played each other for the trophy, won last year by St Wilfrid’s Middle School.

This was the last year that they could get their school name on the trophy, as St Wilfrid’s closes this summer – and they did just that, with Bede Academy runners- up and Guide Post Middle third.

Organisers wished good luck to the pupils and staff at St Wilfrid’s, who have been enthusiastic participants over the years.
