BLYTH Running Club marked the 25th anniversary of their Autumn Relays.
The race was held on Blyth Quayside due to problems with the normal location in the Kitty Brewster Industrial Estate.
On a cold, calm night, there were ten teams competing, with Chris Stone running twice to ensure his team recorded a time.
Congratulations went to the winning team of Alison Lowes, Terry McCabe and Sam Dodd.
Sam Dodd was the fastest on the night with 12.41 and Heather Christopher was the quickest lady (15.33).
Although not a prizewinner this time, special mention went to Stevie Gillespie, who has competed in all 25 events.
The runners thanked the marshals and timekeepers who ensured the event went smoothly.
The first race of the club’s popular Winter Series will be on Wednesday, November 23.
Further details are on the club’s website – www.blythrunningclub.co.uk – and on the noticeboard at Blyth Sports Centre.
On Sunday, December 4, the 52nd running of the Blyth Sands race will take place.
