Three points separate top three sides in pool league

THE Blyth Valley Pool Association Super League, sponsored by Goschen Street Garage & Union Private Hire, sees the top three teams separated by just three points after the first ten league matches.

The Percy Arms are one point clear of Sports Club A and Bedlington Station Club.

The Percy had a convincing 10-2 win against Cramlington Village A with the Sports A winning by the same margin at the Seahorse.

Bedlington Station Club won a close match with Cramlington Village B 7-5.

In the three other matches, Blyth Comrades A beat Newsham Side Club 9-3, the Sports Club B edged their match against Annitsford Irish Club 7-5 and Blyth Comrades B beat the Brockwell Seam 8-4.

The top three teams have broken clear of fourth place Comrades A, who will be looking to get some strong results in the coming weeks if they are to challenge for the league.

This week sees round two of the cup competition with the league leaders the Percy Arms taking on second placed Sports Club A.
