BLYTH Valley Pool Association, sponsored by Goshen Street Garage & Union Private Hire, returned from its Christmas break with a big win for for Bedlington Station Club in beating Percy 8-4.

Sports A remain at the top of the league with a 9-3 win over Sports B with a couple of tatical wins for Richie Cook over Ian Straughan.

Comrades B had an excellent 7-5 win over Comrades A whilst the Side Club edged it against Brockwell Seam, winning the decider to take it 7-6. Cramlington Village B won their local derby, beating their A team 8-4.

In the final match of the night Annitsford Irish came up with the goods, winning the decider against Seahorse for a 7-6 victory.

Just ten points separate the top three teams, and with 13 points available for a white wash its all still to play for.
