Several Blyth Juniors took part in the Junior North Run along Newcastle Quayside on Saturday.
And there was delight for Sam Browning who won the boys U9 race while Lottie Christopher was second in the U9 girls race.
More than 30 seniors took part in the 13.1-mile run from Newcastle to South Shields.

Blyth is a well established club and is always on the look-out for new members of all abilities.
Club secretary Ralph Dickinson said: “Joining a club like this keeps you fit and keeps the weight off. You get to socialise with friends, as well as do exercise, which is great.
“We want people of all abilities to come along and join us. We have groups, from beginners to more experienced runners. We also have club handicap races so everyone can compete together.
“We meet twice a week and would love to have new members come along. Even if someone hasn’t trained for years, now could be the time to get back involved.”
Club nights are Monday and Wednesday at Blyth Sports Centre at 6.45pm or email firstname.lastname@example.org or contact (01670) 362668.
