THE final qualifying round of the Ian Whillis Memorial Darts Trophy took place on Monday night with the winners possessing youth and experience.
The experience of Lee Waddle saw him through to the grand finals.
He had a bye in the first round then a hard game against Liam Jones followed by a 4-2 win over Tab Hunter.
On the youth side of the coin was Chris Dobey, who had been knocking on the door of al comeptitions.
He secured his place with wins over Michael Grieves and Graham Mills before overcoming up and coming Joe Gaffeny 4-2 in the fial.
The Milton Anderson Memorial Trophy for ladies was poorly supported, but all credit went to the two qualifiers.
Jackie Smith and Natalia Kelly will be in the mix on finals night after winning through having been involved every week of the competition.
