A special church service will be held this weekend to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of the First World War.
The service will be held on Sunday, July 27, at 3pm at St Paul’s RC Church in Cramlington.
The service is ecumenical, and most clerics from Cramlington and surrounding area will be in attendance and taking part.
It will last approx one hour and will finish with light refreshments. A retiring collection will be made for the Royal British Legion who will also be there.
Organiser John Reid said: “If anyone in the area who has an artefact or memorobilia to lend us for the day, depicting WW1, I would be delighted to accept and return it.”
