TIPPED as the next star of British hip-hop, Master Shortie is coming to the region to demonstrate his unique hybrid style.
London-raised Theo Kerlin, aged just 19, had a spell at the Brit School and has taken the DIY route by setting up his own label, Odd One Out.
The pop/indie star will now perform his Wonky Pop Tour, at Newcastle's Carling Academy on March 2.
Already being listed as a "one to watch" for 2009, Master Shortie now prepares to play th NME Brats Show at KOKO on February 19, where he will support Roots Manuva, ahead of the release of his single Dance Like a White Boy, on March 9.
Currently on the Wonky Pop Tour, he has already toured with The Roots, The Filthy Dukes and Hadouken, and he will join Basement Jaxx on their tour in April and May 2009 - calling in at the Newcastle Academy on April 20.
