Youngsters from across Northumberland are putting their creativity to the test ahead of one of the north east’s biggest ever pop concerts.

North East Live, headlined by Jessie J, will run at the Stadium of Light on Sunday, June 22, and schools from the county are getting involved.

As part of a special region-wide competition being run by event organisers SAFC and AEG Live, primary school students have been working hard to design programmes for the all-day gig.

The most original and creative designs will be rewarded with tickets to the concert for the individual designer and their entire class.

Newsham Primary School in Blyth, Cragside C of E Primary School in Cramlington, and West End First School in Bedlington, have already registered their interest.

Those judged to be the most unique and creative will receive tickets for the full class and accompanying adults to attend North East Live, as well as copies of the printed programme to keep as a memento and a montage of images from the day.
