A new exhibition revealing the story of the Northern Poetry Library has opened at Woodhorn Museum.

Storehouse of Words reveals the story of the Northern Poetry Library, the largest public collection of contemporary poetry outside London.

The exhibition is the culmination of a wider project which aims raise awareness and create excitement about this special collection of poetry.

Storehouse of Words not only showcases this important collection, it also offers visitors an opportunity to explore contemporary poetry and to consider the connections between poetry and life. From the serious to the absurd via the downright unexpected, the library has something for everyone, and this exhibition is the perfect introduction.
