A Northumberland museum is the venue for a wedding open evening, as well as a free talk about the First Safety Lamp.
Woodhorn Museum will be hosting the talk on Wednesday, at 2pm, when Professor Sharon Ruston, who is chairman in Romanticism at Lancaster University and co-editor of the Oxford University Press edition of The Collected Letters of Sir Humphry Davy, will examine the contents of the collection of, as yet, unpublished letters written by the inventor of the Davy Lamp.
Tickets are free, but spaces are limited so reservations are recommended by calling 01670 624455.
The wedding open evening will take place at the museum on Wednesday, October 19, from 4pm to 6pm.
Couples can find out about the possibilities for weddings at Woodhorn, with bucks fizz on arrival and canapes.
