First up in the 800m was George Bryce, taking part in his first event for the club. After getting a good warm up and some last minute words of advice from the coaches, he took to the track and ran an extremely good race, staying strong and composed all the way through to finish in a time of 2:46.15, which was a new PB!

Next up was Niamh Adams. With a little bit more experience under her belt Niamh took to the track and used that experience to good effect, running a well paced and mature race to finish second in her heat in a new PB of 2:47.11 knocking some six seconds off her previous best.

The final athlete in the 800s was Lauren Creaby who was hoping to continue her strong start to the season after recording a 1000m PB just a week before.

The race started fast, with the leader passing 200m in 32secs, but Lauren kept to her own race plan and kept working hard to reel them back in.

After 550m she was breathing down the early leader’s neck and made her move coming into the home straight. Her race tactics and strength paid dividend by storming home in 2:28.07 to record a new overall ladies club record and smashing her own PB by some seven seconds.

The action moved to the shortest of the events on the day with Caitlin Creaby going in the 200m. Caitlin ran a strong race, storming around in a time os 32.09s, a 1.6s PB.

The final athlete in action was Josh Fiddaman, taking part in the 3000m. Josh continued his fine form from the previous week's 5k and held a competitive race, coming home in a time of 8:45.06 for yet another PB and shaving more time off the club record.
