Alnwick salon raises more £2,000 to help Australian wildlife affected by bushfires
Becca Allan, who owns Bex Boutique on Bailiffgate, held a charity event in the salon on Sunday and raised £2,060.
“We’re really pleased, “ said Becca. “It’s a fantastic total, way more than we could have dreamed of.”

Hide AdBecca and her team did 12 hours back-to-back hair treatments, blowdrys and gel nails with all proceeds going to WIRES wildlife rescue fund.
A raffle with more than 30 prizes from local businesses and clients swelled funds, while Becca donated a hamper.
“When I saw all the coverage of the devastating bushfires it affected me,” said Becca.
“I wanted to do something and realised it would have a much bigger impact if I used the business as a platform and got everyone to provide a helping hand.”
