Sophie Jobes, 14, entered a Young Writers competition that asked youngsters to write a thriller in 100 words or less for the competition SOS Sagas: Hunted.
Students were able to choose whether they wrote from the perspective of the hunted or the hunter.

Hide AdThere were over 2,000 entrants nationwide and as a winner, Sophie’s story will be published in the book Hunted – UK authors.
A copy of the book will also remain in the National Archives of the British Library forever.
Sophie, a Year 9 student at James Calvert Spence College, will receive a copy of the book to keep as part of her prize.
“It was really quite hard sticking to the word count,” confessed Sophie, who was over the moon to find out her work had been selected for publishing.

“I really believe Sophie has a bright future as a professional writer.
“We’ll be doing everything we can at James Calvert Spence College to encourage Sophie to continue pushing herself and her writing and we can’t wait to see her mini-saga in print.”
